Compensation: $75,000 - $90,000

Marvin Love and Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to lead the financial operations of a confidential retail and wholesale organization. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping financial strategies and driving the business's financial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with department heads to develop and monitor financial plans.
- Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing recommendations based on financial performance and analysis.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team to enhance skills and capabilities.
- Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure the financial health of the business.
This role requires a proactive financial leader with a strong background in retail and wholesale operations to contribute to the growth and profitability of the business.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a financial management role, with a focus on retail and wholesale operations.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
