Your objectives
You are an experienced Director of Growth who will report to Skimmer's CPO. Your objective is to attain revenue targets for self-service customers, inclusive of:
- New Customer Acquisition -- In partnership with Demand Generation, achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly logo targets while maintaining efficiency metrics by creating a best-in-class self-serve sign up flow.
- Onboarding and Retention -- Drive upsell and retention revenue through a product led motion within product
- Billing Attach -- Establish a glide path for product led customers to improve attach rates of new customers and incremental processing volume
In addition, you'll define and track critical metrics, both leading and lagging, that are indicative of successful customer usage resulting in maximum ACV.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with the VP of Marketing to define the self-service go-to-market strategy, including positioning, pricing, sign up process, engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with the VP of Product to define and optimize the product experience to drive retention and revenue generating usage.
- Use product analytics to identify bottlenecks and friction points in the user journey and work with the Product team to remove them.
- Leverage user behavior data to continuously optimize and experiment with the product to drive growth.
- Implement A/B testing, cohort analysis, and other experiments to refine product features and growth strategies.
- Represent the needs of the GTM team to Product Management and Product Marketing in relation to features and products required to drive product-led growth (PLG) success.
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product to develop market research, competitive analysis, and business cases for enhancements to the self-service go-to-market motion
- Coordinate the successful hand-off of “Sales-Led” opportunities to the sales team
- Work closely with all departments to ensure individual work streams and initiatives are aligned to drive successful PLG programs.
Requirements
- Relevant chops: Strong experience with PLG strategies, including freemium models, free trials, self-service onboarding, and in-product user activation.
- Track record that speaks for you: Proven record of leveraging product features to drive acquisition, engagement, retention, and expansion.
- Industry knowledge: Deep understanding of SaaS business models and metrics, including ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, churn, and retention.
- Emotional intelligence: Strong collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Customer empathy: Exceptional understanding of customer behavior, user experience, and the nuances of scaling a product-led business. Experience with customer journey mapping and user experience design for PLG.
- Data skills: Expertise in data-driven decision-making, using product analytics tools
