Currently, Houston Behavioral Healthcare Hospital is recruiting for a Director of Clinical Services, Fulltime, Monday-Friday 8a-4p.
The Director of Clinical Services will oversee the daily operations of the Social Services Department.
Duties would include:
Participate in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing of the social service programs of the facility.
Supervise and support staff to assure that services are in accordance with program description.
Works with administration, medical and nursing staff, and other related departments in planning social services.
Serves as a resource and referral source for patients, physicians, staff and general community.
Conducts psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patient and their family members.
Attends regular treatment team meetings to provide social work perspectives to total case management of the patient by discussing progress notes charts and communicating any state or local agency legal requirement for case management with the interdisciplinary team.
Carries out the personnel management activities associated with direct staff supervision, including screening and selection, orientation training and development, performance management, and employee relations functions.
Performs related duties as requested.
Requirements
Education: Masters Degree in Social Work, or Counseling preferred.
Licenses Required: LMSW, LCSW, LCDC or LPC.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate leadership, organizational skills, and ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude.
