Data Analyst/COGNOS Report Writer

Responsibilities include:

• Collects and stores data on sales numbers, marketing, operations and other business-related data
• Monitor trends, identify abnormalities and report these to leadership
• Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines
• Work with report users to define and document requirements for new reports/queries and modifications to existing reports/queries
• Develop and maintain Cognos reports that interface with HR, Accounting and other business systems
• Develop and maintain dashboards and apply data visualization and user interface best practices
• Develop application-specific reports using Cognos and Excel
• Work independently and with a team to solve problems involving complex and large data sets
• Perform other duties as required or assigned

Requirements

• BA/BS preferred, with 3-5 years of experience with Cognos reporting and development
• Experience with SQL development
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to communicate with users to design, develop, and implement new reporting solutions and changes to existing designs based on unique requirements
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Analytical and independent problem-solving skills
• Organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
• Exceptional time management skills
