Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accurate information is recorded in the system.
- Assist patients in understanding hospital services, procedures, and policies.
- Provide support to patients with insurance questions, claims, and payment options.
- Maintain and update patient records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with medical staff to address patient needs effectively and efficiently.
- Handle patient complaints and concerns by providing clear solutions or escalating issues as necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare or customer service is a plus.
- Proven experience as a customer service representative, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and staff.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare procedures is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using telephone systems and computerized record-keeping tools.
