About the role
We are looking for a passionate full-cycle Account Executive to join our sales team. The Account Executive's responsibilities include building relationships with new prospective clients by generating leads, planning persuasive approaches, making sales calls, presenting solutions, continuously updating the CRM database, and meeting all minimum sales activity levels including sales quotas, calendar activity, and prospect lead follow-up.
To be successful as an Account Executive at Buxton, you should be an inspired self-starter and able to drive sales growth consistently. Ultimately, a top-notch Account Executive will build rapport with prospective customers, close sales, and grow Buxton’s client base.
Where you’ll work
This is a 100% onsite role at our office in Fort Worth, TX.
What you'll do
- Prospect for new opportunities using proactive outreach methods to develop a sales pipeline and close new business.
- Partner with colleagues and sales leadership to drive Buxton's overall revenue.
- Become an expert in your market, building a deep knowledge of the key players, trends, and the market landscape.
- Develop strong prospective client relationships by delivering regular communication, sharing valuable insights, and offering appropriate solutions.
Requirements
Basic qualifications
- 1-5 years of proven sales and account management experience in a business-to-business environment selling business intelligence or data and analytics product solutions
- Proven track record exceeding sales targets and quotas in a sales environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use company software
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but will consider relevant experience
- Experience with Salesforce and related CRM products

Compensation
This position is paid (in part) on a commission basis that has uncapped commission earning potential. The annual Base Pay is $65,000. The On Target Earnings (OTE) Range (base pay plus on target commission) is $80,000 - 135,000 (year one). Actual base pay within the Base Pay Range and actual OTE within the OTE Range will depend on varying circumstances, including the individual qualifications, company budget and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy.
