We are currently partnering with a reputable client to fill an urgent need for a Payroll/Accounting Clerk with a focus on payroll and accounting tasks. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the HR and accounting departments, providing vital support in managing financial aspects of human resources functions.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll/Accounting Clerk to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be comfortable handling financial transactions, payroll processing, and other accounting-related tasks within the HR department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with payroll processing, including verification of timesheets, calculation of hours worked, and ensuring accurate payment to employees.
  • Support the HR team in managing employee compensation and benefits packages, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Handle the preparation and maintenance of financial documents and reports related to HR activities.
  • Assist in the budgeting process for HR-related expenses, including training, recruitment, and employee events.
  • Provide support in managing accounts payable and receivable within the HR department.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to streamline financial processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and maintaining up-to-date employee records.
  • Assist with recruitment efforts, employee onboarding, and training activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounting or a similar role, with a strong understanding of financial principles related to HR functions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Previous experience in a Human Resources department is a plus.
