The Field Sales (Outside Sales) Representative is responsible for selling and promoting Ajax Distributing Company's products to existing and prospective customers in designated territories. This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, conducting sales presentations, and achieving sales targets. The Field Sales Representative will collaborate with internal teams to provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, this position involves staying updated on product knowledge, market trends, and competitor activities to effectively position and differentiate Ajax Distributing Company's products. The ideal candidate for this position should possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, have a strong drive for results, and be able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve sales targets
- Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations
- Prepare and deliver professional sales proposals
- Effectively negotiate and close sales deals
- Ensure timely and accurate order processing and delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer issues and provide exceptional customer service
- Stay updated on product knowledge, market trends, and competitor activities
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management
- Continuously strive to improve sales performance and exceed targets
Requirements:
- Proven experience in field sales or outside sales
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and building customer relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively present and demonstrate products
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Knowledge of the beverage industry is a plus
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within designated territory
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field is preferred
