Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept
As the Capture Manager, or Pursuit Manager, you will be an important part of our business growth strategy. You will be the link between our design and engineering technical team, our CEO and management team, and our potential U.S. government customers. Your primary responsibility is to support our customer capture/acquisition strategy by delivering compelling proposals that win contracts.
The ideal candidate is tenacious, deadline-focused and detail-oriented. You should be a good writer, able to turn complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand proposals, white papers, and presentations that explain our capabilities in the context of the customer’s needs. You should have a desire to learn and be curious.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as a project manager and principal author of TIL responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
- Perform in an active capacity throughout the proposal process to ensure the completion and competitiveness of our proposals.
- Collaborate with technical SMEs, business development, and firm leadership to develop proposal strategies and content that synchronizes the technical, business, staffing, and financial aspects of proposals.
- Perform post-proposal support to include additional meetings and requests from customers, contracting officers, and proposal evaluators.
- Develop a knowledge of TIL’s previous and leading-edge software and technical innovations and write/communicate those capabilities to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to travel (up to 20%).
Requirements
Capabilities that will enable your success
- A bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of work experience.
- Experience in a project management role.
- Knowledge of the capture process and Federal Government contracting, contract types/vehicles, and procurement processes.
- Knowledge of basic software engineering concepts and/or the capacity to understand and apply new concepts to the proposal process.
- Project management and leadership skills to include tenacity and strategic and critical thinking. Ability to collaborate and keep multiple proposal teams on schedule.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand and compelling language.
- A security clearance (or ability and willingness to obtain one) at Secret level is required.
