Full Job Description
C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 30 years to include John Deere ag, material handling and powersports locations has an opening for a Payroll & Benefits Specialist at our Field Support Office in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The Payroll & Benefits Specialist role will have the critical responsibility of performing a variety of technical and administrative duties in support of our finance department. The ideal candidate will have an attention to detail and strive to create the best possible experience for our employees.
Essential Duties:
- Payroll processing - accurately managing a bi-weekly payroll
- Reconcile quarter-end and year-end payroll tax forms
- Serve as point of contact for employee payroll and benefits issues
- Maintain records and reporting for multi-state tax accounts, and other documentation required by federal, state, and provider rules, regulations, and policies
- Monitoring new hire benefits and annual open enrollment
- Recording journal entries
- Reconciling general ledger accounts
- Key competencies include:
- Ability to deliver results accurately and on time
- Ability to analyze data to determine accuracy and communicate efficiently
- Candidate must possess a process improvement mindset
Requirements
- Based in Sioux Falls, SD at our Field Support Office
- 2+ years of related experience
- Thorough understanding of federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Proficient with payroll and benefits platforms
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
