Full Job Description
The Information Technology Manager is pivotal in leading and overseeing the planning, implementation, and secure operation of C & B Material Handling’s information technology initiatives and systems. Reporting to the Director of IT for C & B, this role is essential for ensuring the IT infrastructure and applications not only support but propel the business towards its vision of becoming a Dealer of Tomorrow. With an emphasis on innovation, customer satisfaction, and employee development, the IT Manager will play a critical role in the company's journey towards profitable growth and market leadership. This position is supervisory, initially overseeing 5-7 employees.
Essential Duties:
- Lead the integration and optimization of new technologies, including a new ERP system, aligning IT initiatives with significant business process changes and rebranding efforts.
- Oversee the migration of legacy server systems to the cloud or setup of new servers, particularly within a new Azure/MS365 tenant being established for the business as it transitions.
- Address the critical gap in cybersecurity expertise by developing and implementing robust security frameworks and compliance practices, preparing the business for potential government contracts with adherence to PCI-DSS, FTC Safeguards Rules, and NIST CSF.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IT department, driving the team towards the highest degree of loyalty from generations of customers through leading-edge management and technology practices.
- Establish and monitor team performance metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs), leveraging the new ITSM tool (HaloITSM) to measure and improve IT service maturity.
- Actively engage with business leadership and other departments through regular meetings and communication channels like phone, email, and Teams, ensuring IT priorities are aligned with business needs and contributing to the long-term success of the business.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing IT team, focusing on employee development to create an environment that supports the company’s mission of exceeding customer expectations through quality products, service, and support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; master’s degree in management, Information Technology Management, business administration or related field preferred
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in IT roles; experience in leading large-scale IT projects and teams
- Knowledge of IT frameworks, systems architecture, IT Project Management, and Cyber security
- Proficient in various IT technologies, tools, platforms, and frameworks
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Ability to think strategically, creatively, and is innovative.
- Ability to work effectively with senior management, peers, staff, vendors, and customers
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs, priorities, and demands
