OVERVIEW:

Our client is a leading FMCG Company seeking for a strategic and results-oriented Head of Business Unit to lead their consumer operations and drive business growth. This role will be responsible for overseeing all consumer-facing activities, developing strategies to expand the customer base, and ensuring that the consumer experience aligns with overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer engagement, sales, and marketing, with the ability to turn insights into actionable business growth initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Business Growth Leadership: Develop and implement consumer strategies that directly contribute to revenue growth, market expansion, and business development.
  2. Consumer Strategy Development: Lead the creation of a comprehensive consumer strategy focused on customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value to drive business success.
  3. Sales and Marketing Integration: Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns that attract and retain consumers while delivering measurable business results.
  4. Customer Insights & Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage consumer data and market insights to inform decisions, identify growth opportunities, and optimize performance across all consumer channels.
  5. Consumer Experience Excellence: Ensure that every touchpoint across the consumer journey meets the highest standards of service, satisfaction, and brand alignment, driving loyalty and repeat business.
  6. Product and Service Innovation: Collaborate with product development teams to align consumer needs with product offerings, continuously innovating to meet evolving market demands.
  7. Revenue and Profitability Targets: Set and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to consumer engagement, revenue growth, and profitability.
  8. Brand Management: Ensure that the brand is positioned effectively in the market to attract the right consumer base and differentiate from competitors.
  9. Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing consumer team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  10. Market Expansion: Identify new markets, product opportunities, and business models to accelerate growth, driving both domestic and international expansion where applicable.
  11. Performance Tracking & Reporting: Continuously monitor and report on consumer initiatives’ performance, adjusting strategies to maximize results and presenting updates to senior leadership.

PRE - REQUISITES:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: 10-15 years of experience in consumer-focused roles, with a proven track record of driving business growth through consumer engagement and sales strategies.
  • Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role, leading cross-functional teams in sales, marketing, branding and consumer operations
