Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, one of the nation’s oldest and most frequented historical public attractions, proudly welcomes thousands of visitors from all around the world each year. Our Guest Experience Associate is the first to meet our guests with a smile and is responsible for completing a smooth, unfragmented and consistent guest experience across all touchpoints and at all stages of guest’s interactions while visiting Magnolia Plantation & Gardens.
What you will be doing:
- Meet and greet guests entering and exiting Magnolia with a smile and is always ready to make a sale
- Creates a positive, one of a kind guest experience during ticket and tour sales
- Offers a prompt, courteous and knowledgeable customer service experience in both person and over the phone interactions
- Ability to stay abreast of Magnolia’s uncovered history, upcoming events and tour schedules while relaying accurate and current information
- Presents an “outside the box” solution when necessary to problem-solve while remaining calm and positive under pressure
- Flawlessly reconciles all sales receipts at shift-end
- Represents a team-player spirit when assigned other duties as required
Requirements
Who you are:
- You have prior experience in retail, customer service or hospitality
- You're an effective listener that analyzes guest experiences and properly escalates as needed
- You understand that exceptional guest experiences aren't just about the activities we have available, but how each interaction makes them feel. Knowing this, you make it a point to ensure that each guest has an immersive, positive experience from the moment they enter the gates
- You have excellent attention to detail, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills while working with guests, staff and volunteers
- Due to the nature of the business, this position may require work on the weekends as needed. We’re mindful that in order for you to be the most effective in your role, it’s important that you balance that work with time to rest, so we offer PTO and other benefits to support you
