Full Job Description

Gwynedd Manufacturing, a growing defense contractor located in North Wales, PA, is a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility dedicated to producing quality products for the U.S. Department of Defense and various U.S. Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage resources involved in Mechanical property testing (Hardness & Fatigue Strength) and Dimensional Inspection.
  • Oversee Gage Control & Calibration system and determine what services are provided externally.
  • Work with External Suppliers to assure parts conform to stated purchase agreements, and quality systems are adequate.
  • Work with cross-functional teams as part of Design Review, to determine suitable product designs, inspection methods and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Identify internal scrap, rework and customer feedback opportunities for improvements.  Act on these opportunities and report up on the results.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in a Quality Leadership role, in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with CMM and other Non-contact vision inspection systems.
  • Experience with Military Specs relative to Weapon Systems.
  • Experience with creating and maintaining the Quality Management System requirements to satisfy ISO 9001:2015 certification.
  • Experience with Statistical Analysis of Manufacturing Processes and Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills
  • Good Interpersonal and Communication Skills
