Desktop Support Technician

Position: Desktop Support Technician

Location: Morrisville, PA

Duration: 12 months contract

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to employees by troubleshooting hardware and software issues
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other computer peripherals
• Respond to help desk tickets promptly and resolve technical problems efficiently
• Set up and manage user accounts and profiles in Active Directory
• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches on computer systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support IT projects
• Train employees on basic computer skills and best practices for using company technology

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role
• Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software problems
• Extensive knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
• Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, and VPN
• Strong understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy Management
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) preferred.
