Hint is looking for an Area Sales Manager to represent Hint to retailers and promote our beverage products to consumers covering the greater Philadelphia Metro Area.
As an Area Sales Manager, your role will be to develop new business by visiting stores and ensuring the availability and prominence of our products on shelves. You will also oversee and support all aspects of the sales cycle, including the management of existing sales accounts, as well as the development and signing of new accounts.
The area of coverage will include the Philadelphia Metro Area with some out-of-town travel that will include occasional overnight stays.
This role will initially have one direct report and will report to the Regional Sales Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a sales expert for the region and be a key contributor to the Hint water retail sales team.
- Maintain and grow important existing accounts such as Acme, The Giant Company, Shoprite, and other independent grocers, by developing relationships with key stakeholders. Your goals are to sell in additional SKUs, additional facings, and new placements, and to create other opportunities to grow Hint volume.
- Monitor status by consistently using CRM tools such as Repsly
- Participate in weekly sales calls to highlight successes, discuss challenges, and understand company-wide strategies
- Manage KPI's for your direct team
- Identify and acquire new accounts and facilitate growth initiatives at all national and regional retail outlets in the territory
- Foodservice and cross-functional activation upon need
- Provide recommendations for additional distribution/ regional chain requirements
- Occasional overnight travel

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- At least 3 years of progressive sales experience (CPG preferred)
- Must have experience with retailers such as Target, Walmart, Giant Eagle/Market District, Shop n Save, Kuhn’s, Community Market, and other independent grocers
- Willingness to drive to accounts (in particular, Target), and assist with merchandising
- Prior experience with retail accounts preferred
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with quotas and goals
- Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- A clean driving record is a must because this position will drive a company vehicle
Benefits
- Base salary range is $60,000-70,000. Actual salary offer may vary based on location and work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
