KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, post, verify, and record vendor payments and other transactions related to accounts payable
- Process and deliver vendor invoices and billing statements
- Update and maintain vendor information, including contact details, name/address changes, mergers, etc.
- Research and promptly resolve discrepancies and inquiries related to vendor payments
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of accounts payable
- Recommend improvements in processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare reports to monitor and manage accounts payable, such as payment status and outstanding invoices
- Support the payroll process, ensuring accurate payment of our most important assets - our people!
- Support the processing and auditing of expense reports monthly
- Contribute to the overall success of the monthly close and reporting process
QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance preferred; not required with appropriate experience
- 3+ years AP experience; applicants with at least 24 consecutive months with one employer preferred; payroll experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in relevant accounting software and tools
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; experience in fabrication or manufacturing industries is a plus
