Full Job Description
As an Operations and Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the quality standards and operational efficiency within our organization. Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the international quality initiative, aligning it with the company's overall objectives and goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across different regions to ensure buy-in and adoption of standardized quality practices.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of quality initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for addressing and resolving complex operational challenges, such as supply chain disruptions, production bottlenecks, and quality issues.
- Employ root cause analysis and other problem-solving methodologies to identify underlying issues and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with relevant departments and external partners to mitigate risks and minimize the impact on operations.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional teams tasked with identifying inefficiencies and optimizing processes across the organization.
- Conduct process audits and evaluations to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to streamline operations.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by promoting innovation and knowledge sharing among team members.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a diverse team of professionals with expertise in quality management, operations, and related fields.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Foster a collaborative work environment where team members feel empowered to contribute ideas and solutions to improve quality and operational performance.
- Develop and maintain quality assurance procedures and standards in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess adherence to quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Interface with regulatory agencies and external auditors as necessary to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Quality Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in quality management, operations management, or a related field, 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a track record of successfully managing complex operational challenges.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
