The Project Coordinator assists and supports the Superintendents and Project Managers on assigned projects. The field engineer plays a key role in construction operations and serves as a representative of the company. This position requires a strong understanding of construction methods, procedures, and administrative processes, along with excellent documentation and interpersonal skills. The Field Engineer must be flexible, adaptable, and capable of succeeding independently or as part of a project team.
Requirements
Safety Management:
- Communicate and help enforce the company’s Health & Safety Program.
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to maintaining an injury-free workplace through actions and leadership.
- Assist in preparing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and participate in safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training.
Field Operations:
- Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with vendors to ensure efficient execution of work.
- Order and schedule material deliveries to meet project needs.
- Assist with field surveying, layout support, and compiling as-built data, including elevation and control points.
- Perform quantity calculations and track percentages of completed work and installed materials.
Project Support:
- Prepare work plans and work packages for field execution.
- Participate in quality assurance measures, including inspections and documentation.
- Assist in interpreting proposals, specifications, and drawings for field crews and craft supervision.
- Maintain detailed and organized project records, including labor timesheets and invoices.
- Attend and actively participate in project meetings as directed by the Project Engineer.
Administrative Support:
- Contribute to the preparation of daily reports and project documentation.
- Participate in the scheduling of equipment and other resources as necessary.
- Assist with coding and approval of project-related invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-4 years of ground-up construction experience, preferably in commercial or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
