We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Compound Operator / Blender! This role runs the overall production of raw materials for blending and mixing. Duties and responsibilities include overseeing the production process to ensure it runs smoothly, safely and meets quality standards. They must keep a clean environment while maintaining plant machines such as mixers, scales and control functions.
These roles will be based in our facility in Lawton, OK and will start at $22.88/hr! They are required to work 12-hour night shifts (9:00 pm – 9:00 am on a 2, 2, 3 continental schedule). We are seeking an upbeat individual with a keen eye for detail and a positive demeanor. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and run the proper recipes including proper amount of ingredients, heating and cooling time, heating, and cooling temperatures, etc.
- Monitor the compound computer system - ensuring proper weights, heats, pressure, etc. are met and maintained
- Physically inspect, repair and/or report needed repairs of filters, material lines/hoses, etc.
- Must monitor and maintain railcar unloading system - properly securing hoses, properly venting railcars, capping off unused hoses, keeping railcar area clean and communicating with railroad yard *responsible for filing correct and accurate paperwork - batch reports, resin/silo reports, tote reports, railcar reports, etc.
- Communicate with production supervisor any silo or material changes which may affect the compound
- Each operator will be responsible for their assigned housekeeping duties
Requirements
- High School diploma or certificate of completion is preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred, as is prior experience with chemical production processes
- Stable work history exhibiting a dedication to a long-term career vs. job hopping
- Must be clean shaven and fitted for respiratory protection.
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Basic math, reading and computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Successful completion of a drug screen, physical, and criminal background check

Working Conditions
