Contract Embedded System Development / Software Engineer (C++/FreeRTOS)

Duration: Full-Time, 8-week Contract
Location: Brecksville, Ohio (Local candidates preferred, but remote will be considered)
Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in C++, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and embedded systems development. You will be working on a time-sensitive project focused on building software for embedded devices running FreeRTOS, utilizing ST32H7 processors or equivalent hardware. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing communication protocols, primarily CAN FD, in an Agile environment following Scrum methodology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy C++ software in an embedded environment (FreeRTOS).
• Write unit tests following Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
• Implement and integrate CAN FD communication protocols.
• Collaborate closely with the development team using Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings and provide progress updates.
• Ensure the project adheres to deadlines and quality standards.

Requirements

Key Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in C++ and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience working with FreeRTOS and ST32H7 processors (or equivalent).
• Familiarity with CAN FD communication protocols.
• Experience with Agile development processes and Scrum methodology.
• Ability to commit full-time to the project for 8 weeks.
• Strong communication skills and ability to participate in daily stand-up meetings.

Preferred:

• Local candidates in Brecksville, Ohio with the ability to travel within the start are preferred.
• Experience with Crank UI development (though not required for this role).
