Staff Accountant

Job Duties:

• Support the Assistant Controller and Accounting Manager in preparing journal entries and completion of monthly financial reporting package.
• Assist Assistant Controller in budget-to-actuals variance analysis.
• Review and process intercompany transactions with other TAT entities; Confirm and settle balances on a monthly basis.
• Prepare and post Journal Entries.
• Excel data analysis – Intermediate level preferred – V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.
• Perform monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Support the Accounts Payable Manager in processing vendor invoices.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording AP and bank data.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures to standardize financial processes.
• Collaborate on Continuous Improvement goals for Finance department, including Standard Operating Procedures, financial metrics and analysis.
• Provide support for financial audits and SOX compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited school.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Experience with GAAP/IFRS.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and experience working with cross functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Engaged team player.
