Universal Branch Associate

Our partner is currently recruiting for the position of Universal Branch Associate in Latham, NY. The primary function is to provide high-level member service through efficient and accurate transaction processing, applying a consultative needs-based sales approach to establish, deepen, and retain member relationships, and to cross-sell products and services.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process transactions.
• Educate members on transaction processing methods.
• Resolve member complaints and concerns efficiently.
• Handle large volumes of cash and negotiable items.
• Assist with daily operational tasks.
• Open new memberships, accounts, and loans.
• Refer members to branch business partners.
• Follow all policies and procedures.
• Utilize required programs for cross-selling.
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of credit union products.
• Train new Universal Branch Associates.
• Meet or exceed established goals.
• Support marketing programs and promotions.
• Adhere to all policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training and development.
• Embrace and apply guiding principles.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED certificate, or state authorized equivalent.
• NYS Notary Public license (required within 12 months of obtaining position).
• Minimum 1 year customer service and sales experience in a financial institution or retail environment.
• Previous teller or cash handling experience (preferred).
