Full Job Description

The Service and Training Manager is to promote the values and culture of Happier by being a leader.  This position will oversee New Restaurant Openings, management training programs, restaurant visits and ongoing personal development training and for exempt and non-exempt employees and assist in recruiting.

This leader will manage ensuring our systems and content are effective and engaging for the end user. In addition, this energetic leader will partner with the Operations and Human Resources team to assist in creating and launching new policies, programs, and training curriculum, lead training, fill learning gaps, evaluate employees, and create learning solutions that help employees achieve their best work. The person in this role will also ensure our teams are 100% compliant in adherence to all legal requirements.

Training Responsibilities and Duties:

·       Write and create new, effective, and engaging training materials, policies and programs for operations.

·       Manage all learning content for FOH and BOH team members and managers.

·       Manage New Manager Onboarding program (ie. schedules, required certifications, etc.)

·       Assist in creating, updating, and assigning Talent Development Programs (eg. Sr. Manager to AGM, Bar Manager)

·       Manage the New Restaurant Opening process, content, team and timeline

·       Assist with planning, preparation and execution of all Talent Development driven events and conferences.

·       Analyze customer reviews on a consistent basis to identify property-level and organization-wide training needs

·       Follow-up on all outstanding certifications and training requirements to ensure 100% completion.

·       Litigation Control: Avoid legal challenges by adhering to all state/federal regulations and the Employee Handbook

·       Conduct restaurant Training Audits

·       Record all ServSafe Manager Certifications, Food Handler Cards and E-Signatures

·       Support restaurant operations with shift coverage when needed


·       Bachelor’s Degree

·       Strong internet/web-based recruiting platforms a plus

·       MS Suite

·       Knowledge of Harri HCM Platform

·       Passion for the brand and developing others

·       Effective teamwork skills

·       Strong communication skills (verbal, non-verbal, and electronic)

·       Genuinely friendly interpersonal skills

·       Entrepreneurial mentality – Must be a self-starter and excellent time management skills.

·       Strong internet/web-based recruiting platforms a plus

·       Vision for the future of Learning and Development in a constantly evolving world
