257 is a residential energy data platform that builds digital energy twins on every US home. We use large, national data sets and machine learning to model home energy characteristics (e.g., heating, cooling, solar, EV, load) so they can be used by companies in the solar, HVAC, and electric supply industries to accelerate residential electrification.

You will be responsible for generating insights using statistics, analytical and visualization tools, machine learning, and a wide array of large and complex data sets. You will drive mission-critical client engagements, even as you help shape our long-term product offerings. 

This is an exciting opportunity to both work on big data, data science, and marketing technologies AND to have a meaningful impact on the $500B+ US residential electrification market.

Responsibilities

  • Wrangle client data into a form that's useful for analysis
  • Perform standard and custom analyses on client, 257, and combined data sets
  • Present analytics internally & externally
  • Contribute to data and analytics tool selection, process standardization, etc.
  • Own client analytics scripts & workflows

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experience in data analyst or equivalent roles
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting, preferably including dashboard development, data cleansing, metrics analysis
  • Advanced statistical analysis skills including regression, time series analysis
  • Proficiency in SQL, bonus for Python or another statistical language
  • Experience with a BI tool such as Tableau, Looker, QuickSight
  • Ability to clearly communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with great attention to detail
  • Comfortable collaborating across functions
  • Experience building and leading analytics teams is a plus
