Senior Civil Design Engineer

• Lead and manage the civil design team throughout all project phases

• Develop and implement civil engineering design standards and procedures

• Perform civil engineering calculations, analysis, and design of site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and utility systems

• Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications

• Collaborate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide innovative design solutions

• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and permitting requirements

• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure interdisciplinary coordination and integration

• Review and evaluate contractor submittals and RFIs during construction

• Monitor project progress, provide engineering support, and resolve design-related issues

• Mentor and train junior engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

• Professional Engineer (PE) license

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil design engineering, preferably in site development and infrastructure projects

• Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and StormCAD

• Extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and codes

• Experience with stormwater management and drainage design

• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting processes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational and leadership abilities
