Senior Accountant

We are excited to grow our finance and accounting team at Gersh and looking to bring on a new team member to the team. We’re seeking highly motivated people with strong accounting experience to support accounting daily operations; month end close and flux analysis. Successful candidates have strong financial accounting and analytical skills with exceptional organizational and communication skills and want to learn and grow.  

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage month end accounting close process and prepare revenue support workbooks for several subsidiaries.  
• Manage monthly cash reconciliation. 
• Manage monthly invoice preparation and follow up on collection  
• Manage Account Receivables aging, bad debt, and write offs 
• Daily cash application including analysis of payment discrepancies and tracking for complex payment structures. 
• Assist with Accounts Receivable management by maintaining the AR inbox and responding/following up on any accounts receivable related issues. 
• Support monthly Flux analysis. 
• Support timely preparation, distribution, and review of monthly/quarterly financial statements for management. 
• Support continuous improvements in the company’s accounting processes and system.  
• Support timely completion of financial reporting, audit process and taxes filing. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance required. 
• 2-3 years of accounting experience. 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
• Strong working knowledge of accounting month close and day to day operation. 
• Strong analytical skills, good problem-solving and time management skills. 
• Highly organized and detail oriented. 

• Experience working in fast-paced companies is preferred. 
• Big 4 or audit firm experience is preferred. 
• Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite is preferred.
