Luxium Solutions is growing! We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager at PLX, Inc.
We seek a dedicated Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the quality of all incoming and outgoing materials and products, as well as production processes. The role requires a staunch commitment to quality within our business. The perfect candidate will have a keen eye for detail and demonstrate reliability and dedication. Profound knowledge and understanding of quality standards are crucial. The objective is to guarantee that our products are crafted from impeccable materials using fully operational equipment, ensuring our customers receive superior quality goods, contributing to our enduring success.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide, oversee, and inspect quality of parts throughout production cycle.
- Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes. Review and approve corrective actions.
- Responsible for maintaining PLX quality system including procedures, work instructions and checklists as well as ensuring it is implemented and followed by all staff.
- Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
- Perform internal audits.
- Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities.
- Investigate customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
- Read blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product and supplies.
- Programming Coordinate Measuring Machine.
- First Article Inspections.
- Approve or reject raw materials with respect to quality standards and record supplier performance.
- Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods (measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications, etc.)
- Maintain records of testing, information, and various metrics such as the number of defective products per day etc.
- Inspect procedures of the entire production cycle to ensure they are efficient and comply with safety standards.
- Maintain the calibration system.
- Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that doesn’t meet the requirement.
- Prepare and submit reports to the Executive team.
- Environmental testing.
Requirements
A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Quality Assurance within manufacturing and strong know how in ISO 9001 is required. A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time, Onsite
Salary: starting at $83,000 (Compensation: will be based on experience and knowledge regarding this role.)
