Full-time

Full Job Description

About Elios Media Group (EMG): We are a privately-held acquirer of digital media companies. We employ a "buy and build" strategy where we look for companies with great foundations—strong teams, respected brands, unique value propositions—and we devote significant resources to helping those companies grow. We aim to be the best long-term home for these formerly independent companies and their customers.

Our end mission is to help customers by providing quality, trustworthy products—whether that’s data, content, or otherwise—we value long-term sustainable partnerships with our customers over short-term profits. We seek alignment on this mission in the companies we acquire.

What You'll Do

As the Growth Manager at Elios Media Group, you’ll own and grow the P&L of our first business in the healthcare vertical, with potentially more to come. This business and division is primed for growth through (not exhaustive):

  • SEO, creating and optimizing content strategy
  • Product Development, working cross-functionally to prioritize, build, and launch new features
  • New Business Lines, standing up additional opportunities like an in-person event
  • Partnership Development, building deep, value-driven relationships

You'll be responsible for the growth decision-making, roadmap, and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Business Strategy: Utilize a data-driven approach to analyzing performance data and user feedback to adapt growth strategies, including guiding decisions on where to allocate resources for maximum impact.
  • Content (SEO) & Marketing: Develop and implement content and marketing strategies that increase traffic and engagement. This includes working with writers to create guides, blog posts, and reviews that resonate with the healthcare community.
  • Product Management & UX: Lead the growth and iteration of product lines including our school review platform, optimizing for engagement and visibility.
  • Resource Development: Work with and potentially hire contractors/FTE writers, marketers, developers, or other functional talent to execute on your vision.
  • New Business Lines: Identify and execute new opportunities that expand the division's reach beyond digital, including in-person and/or virtual events, subscription products, and more.
  • Partnerships: Develop and strengthen partnerships with nursing schools, healthcare organizations, and other entities to promote our reviews, events, and content offerings.

You'll also hopefully be a key contributor in finding and evaluating potential new business acquisitions.

Requirements

  • Digital Marketing and/or Product Experience: Minimum 3+ years in digital marketing, content marketing, SEO, product management, or growth roles.
  • Data-Driven: Skilled in using analytics to drive growth decisions, and experienced in using data to track, measure, and optimize performance.
  • High-Achiever: Consistent track record of exceeding KPIs and expectations.
  • Team-Player: A believer in the idea that the collective success is more important than individual success.
  • Leadership: A process-oriented leader with a proven ability to drive teams to execute.
  • Collaborative & Resourceful: Comfortable working across teams and with external partners. You’re a natural relationship builder with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Strong Communication: Ability to craft clear, concise messaging for users and internal teams alike, and a knack for delivering valuable, informative content.
  • Value-Focused: A dedication to providing value to users and negotiating value in partnerships.

It's a plus if you have...

  • Experience managing P&Ls
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices, content creation, and optimization strategies that drive organic growth
  • Started your own business or incubated business within larger companies

Your approach to problem-solving is the best predictor of success in this role.

Benefits

At EMG, you’ll have the opportunity to get in relatively early on a privately-held operating portfolio. For the best person this means ample opportunities to expand their scope and responsibilities.

You’ll be part of a mission-driven company with a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Pay and Benefits

  • Competitive base salary, performance bonus and equity
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth
