Full Job Description
The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) provides comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and well-woman care to women and their families. The CNM works collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide prenatal care, including risk assessment, education, and counseling
- Attend births and provide intrapartum care
- Provide postpartum care, including newborn care and breastfeeding support
- Provide well-woman care, including annual exams, contraception, and menopause management
- Educate patients and families about health and wellness
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Stay up-to-date on the latest evidence-based practices in midwifery
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in nursing (MSN) from an accredited program
- Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
- At least 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Strong clinical skills in obstetrics and gynecology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
