The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the full-cycle Accounts Payable process, including creating POs, reviewing invoices, matching receipts, and setting up payment runs.
What You’ll Do
- Enter and review invoice details for complete and accurate information to submit for payment
- Work with employees across various groups to create purchase orders with appropriate coding
- Set up new vendors in the ERP and AP systems
- Respond to employee inquiries about AP processes, payment status, and other ad hoc requests
- Respond to vendor inquiries thoroughly and timely
- Review company credit card activity and update journal entry template with applicable information for each transaction
- Run NACHA files for ACH payments for applicable bank accounts
- Review and process expense reports for payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for assigned bank accounts
- Run reports and provide data needed for accounting month-end close activities
- Assist in data gathering and preparation of 1099 filings
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-year Accounts Payable experience including internships
- Strong knowledge and understanding of full cycle AP processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting or credit hours completed
- Knowledge of GL accounting and related processes

Base Salary Range: $65,000- $80,000; Salary Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience.
