Full Job Description
Mast-Jägermeister US is seeking a savvy Accounting Manager to join our motivated and fast paced Finance team in White Plains, NY. The Accounting Manager will work on a variety of tasks, including month-end close, forecasting, cash management, payroll and tax and audit work. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, self-motivated, and able to execute complex tasks and projects while maintaining a great attitude.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to one direct report, ensuring their professional development aligns with team goals and company standards.
- Month-End Close: Be a key player in all aspects of the month-end close.
- Audit Support: Work with the Controller on coordinating audit activities and providing support to ensure timely completion of audits and interim work.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist the Controller with the budget and reforecasts of all General Marketing and Overhead costs, Balance sheet and OWC.
- Process and administer payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
- Cash management: Control daily cash management, including daily and weekly cash flows.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Tax Compliance: Work with the external tax advisors on quarterly and year-end tax requirements.
- Own additional ad hoc projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance plus 4-6 years of proven work experience, CPA certification preferred
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards, including GAAP
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with the ability to leverage technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness, SAP experience preferred
- Highly organized, motivated, self-starter. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
