Permanent, full-time, exempt, hybrid.
In addition, you are required to travel 3-4 times per year, at a minimum. This position is hybrid and requires staff’s geographic base to be in NYC or Boston.

We partner with the tech industry to hire, retain, and grow early-career engineers from underrepresented backgrounds into long-term contributors in software and data functions We also provide topical learning and development to partners around inclusive people leadership, product design, and policy research.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Account Executive will oversee the full business relationship lifecycle, managing corporate partnerships from initial prospecting and sales, to onboarding and ongoing engagement, all the way through annual renewal and retention. You will drive revenue growth by securing new partnerships, delivering on Hack value, and maintaining strong relationships that lead to long-term partner success.
Requirements
Prospecting & Sales
- Prospecting & Lead Generation: Research and identify potential clients within target industries through outbound prospecting activities (cold calls, emails, social selling) and inbound lead qualification. Attend in-person events, such as networking functions, industry conferences, and community gatherings, to source potential new partners and leads while building Hack.Diversity’s visibility and credibility within target industries.
- Lead Qualification: Engage with potential customers to understand their needs, challenges, and goals, and determine whether they are a good fit for our products or services.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule qualified meetings and demos for the sales team to progress leads through the sales pipeline.
- CRM Management: Accurately record all sales activities,customer information, and notes in Hack’s CRM system (HubSpot), ensuring data integrity and providing regular updates to sales leadership.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to refine outreach strategies, understand campaign effectiveness, and align lead generation activities with sales goals.
- Pipeline Development: Consistently build and manage a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets.
- Market & Product Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and product developments to articulate the value proposition effectively.
Partnership Onboarding & Engagement
- Partner Onboarding: Guide new partners through the onboarding process, ensuring they understand Hack.Diversity’s program structure, expectations, time commitment, and goals.
- Account Management: Serve as the main point of contact for ongoing partner engagement throughout the year, providing strategic guidance and operational support throughout the partner lifecycle.
- Ongoing Engagement: Conduct monthly check-ins with partners to track progress, address any challenges, and ensure alignment with their goals for the Hack.Diversity partnership.
Partner Renewal & Retention
- Partner Satisfaction Pulse: Focus on relationship-building and goals alignment to ensure engagement and satisfaction with Hack.Diversity’s services.
- Hack Value Proposition: Secure contract renewals, addressing concerns and presenting new value propositions to maintain strong partnerships.
- Leadership Report Out: Provide insights into partner successes and areas for growth to the leadership team, collaborating with internal teams to refine and improve future partner interactions and program offerings.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Commitment to the mission of Hack.Diversity and embodiment of our CARE values.
- Experience in corporate account management, business consulting, or similar customer-facing roles.
- Proven track record of growing revenue through business development, sales, or client relationship management.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills — comfortable speaking to diverse audiences.
- Highly organized, solutions-oriented, accountable, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot) and data analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets).
- Ability to handle rejection and a high volume of outreach while maintaining a positive attitude.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with technical recruiting and an understanding of the tech hiring landscape.
- Experience in startup or nonprofit environments with a strong sense of mission and purpose.
- Knowledge of event logistics and experience managing virtual and in-person events.
- Lived experience or a strong commitment to serving and centering Black and Latinx communities.
- Proficiency in graphic design (Canva or similar tools) to help create impactful presentations or reports.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- $70,000 to $100,000 base salary commensurate with experience and potential
- Up to 10% annual performance-based bonus
