Shift Manager Front Office

About the Role

The Shift Manager Front Office is responsible for directly overseeing the front office operations on an assigned shift.

Position Responsibilities

• Assists the Manager Front Office in hiring, scheduling, training, developing, evaluating and coaching of employees
• Resolves customer complaints in a manner which promotes positive customer relations
• Provides guidance and supervision to supervisors and representatives to ensure courteous guest service
• Ensures the front desk is running smoothly and efficiently on an assigned shift
• Evaluates and adjusts complimentary dollars issued in order to maintain customer profitability
• Maintains communication between various hotel/casino departments and the front desk to ensure prompt and courteous check in/check out of hotel guests
• This position issues comps but does not comp to the level which requires a casino key employee license in accordance with NJ CASINO CONTROL ACT & COMMISSION REGULATIONS

Essential Functions

• Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise & stress related to servicing customers in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, & flexible shifts/hours
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand)
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 20 pounds

Requirements

• Computer related experience desired including LMS and ACSC
• Customer service experience is required
• Three to five years’ experience in a high volume hotel
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
