Kitchen Mechanic- Full Time

About the Role
The Kitchen Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, repairs and installation of kitchen equipment throughout the facility.

Position Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily inspection of kitchen equipment and communicating with Chef’s Department to determine where repairs are needed
• Responsible for the repair and preventative maintenance of all kitchen equipment, including ovens, boilers, mixers, choppers, toasters, glass and dishwashers, etc.
• Performs other general maintenance duties as assigned
• Ensures all work is completed and of superior craftsmanship
• Removes debris caused by work completed
• Maintains proper care and storage of tools and equipment
• Works closely with Lead to coordinate an efficient and safe work environment

Essential Functions

• High degrees of mobility to enable person to respond to any type of emergency situation of service call
• Ability to effectively communicate by way of 2-way radio or pager system
• Physical ability and skill to use normal tools and equipment associated with the trade
• Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts/hours
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds

Requirements

• Five (5) years’ experience in a commercial kitchen environment or equivalent environment and a working knowledge of all equipment in this environment
• Blueprint and schematic reading skills required
• Must demonstrate good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
