About the Role:
The IT Project Manager assists in managing the implementation and support of Ocean’s technology portfolio. The role will be a liaison between the end users of IT services at the department level and the resources in the IT department. The role will also assist in managing the relationship with key vendors for support and upgrades.
Position Responsibilities
- Assists in supporting the end users of Ocean in customer facing areas such as Hotel operations and/or Casino operations.
- Acts as a liaison to key vendors in Hotel and/or Casino Operations for support, implementations and upgrades.
- Assists in maintaining tasks in Project Management platforms in collaboration with IT Team and stakeholders on IT-driven projects
- Attends training webinars hosted by various vendors and incorporates relevant materials into internal training.
- Maintains knowledge of applications as well as new training methods and techniques
Essential Functions
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment
- Must be able to move throughout the Casino/Hotel areas, as well as lift/push/pull up to 25lbs.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
Requirements
- Either 3 - 5 years of experience supporting hotel and/or casino operations in a large hospitality environment; or a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with relevant work experience.
- Effective communication skills in addition to providing clear and concise direction when assigning tasks.
- Excellent facilitation/public speaking skills and demonstrated ability to moderate large groups
- Available to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
