IT Business Systems Analyst

About the Role

The IT Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the analysis and development of the company’s business systems needs.  This role develops, coordinates, and implements test and QA plans for systems and processes.

Position Responsibilities

·         Gathers requirements, proposed changes, and business goals from various Departments at the property.

·         May act in a project management capacity on small projects from time to time.

·         Guides user acceptance testing to validate stability, functionality, and usefulness of systems.

·         May provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.

·         Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests using ITIL change tracking system.

·         Acts as a liaison between Information Technology and all user Departments.

·         Assists Application Development Managers and other IT personnel as required.

Essential Functions

·         Maintain knowledge of basic concepts and techniques

·         Ability to perceive quality of work, read material and review documents

·         Ability to logically and independently plan, organize, and complete work

·         Ability to set and achieve high standards of performance and consistently show initiative

·         Ability to make progress on multiple assignments under time constraints

·         Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke and excessive noise.

·         Exposure to stress situations related to servicing clients in a high pressure and fast paced environment.

·         Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours

Requirements

·         BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent training and experience.

·         Two plus years’ experience in an IT Business Analyst role.

·         Casino, Hospitality or Financial application support experience required

·         Excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills

·         Well-developed inter-personal skills

·         Ability to communicate effectively in English is required.​
