GBG Global Product Team

The Role

The product team is responsible for building & delivering the roadmap having a huge impact on the strategic direction of the business. We are regularly speaking at industry-leading events and have won many industry awards for our product innovation.

As the Senior Technical Product Owner, Identity (Identity Documents & Biometrics) you will work in the Identity Product team and own the product backlog, and ensure expert delivery of the product vision. You will be seen as the customer representative in the Agile team. Working hand in hand with your product manager counterpart, Technical manager, and technology counterparts a key measure will be ensuring high quality, on-time delivery through great requirements, great adoption of agile work practices, and great collaboration.

What you will do

• Support the Head of Product and/or Senior Product Manager to implement the product strategy in line with our methodology for differentiation within the Identity-Proofing market.
• Work with the Product Management team to understand the business case and market analysis for planned work
• Drive consistent product delivery methodologies across teams to maintain and improve GBG’s release process across all products and services
• Ensure the delivery of the product roadmap is predictable and the volume of output is to the business' expectations
• Work with the technology team to define and deliver the product roadmap using agile delivery methodologies
• Write and maintain user stories to company standards and according to the Product Delivery Playbook for the delivery team to work with, communicating regularly to ensure that requirements are understood and delivered
• Refine and prioritize the Product Roadmap and Backlog
• Manage development prioritization using Backlog Management
• Improve the customer/user journey within our products and ultimately reduce the number of issues coming to our helpdesk
• Be a subject matter expert: a focal point for product-related questions/queries in relation to both proposition and technical capability
• Work with relevant teams to ensure our products are compliant and meet industry standards
• Work with Application Support and Development to ensure the availability of the appropriate platform needed for success

Requirements

• Previous mastery-level product management/ownership experience in a technology company, preferably one that was focused on data or identity solutions 
• Expert in Agile and Scrum delivery methodologies 
• Hands-on experience with all parts of the product lifecycle from idea to launch to maintenance 
• Deep understanding of business and customer use requirements and the ability to translate them into user stories 
• Strong project management skills including great organizing skills, attention to detail, and team skills that attract others to work with and for you
