Digital Communications Intern

As a critical supplier of mission-critical systems to the US Navy, we rely on our digital communications team to help us effectively communicate our mission and support our country's men and women in uniform. This is an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As the Digital Communications Intern, you will work closely with our team to assist in the development and execution of both our internal and external digital communications strategies. You'll contribute to our website content, social media presence, digital marketing campaigns, and internal communications. Your work will help us showcase our manufacturing capabilities and highlight our crucial role in supporting the US Navy's nuclear-powered submarines fleet.

Anticipated duration: 2 months to 3 months. Please be prepared to share a portfolio of your work demonstrating the required skills outlined below.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation and editing of engaging website content and blog posts.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of social media campaigns
• Assist with the development and maintenance of digital marketing strategies/campaigns
• Collaborate with team members to develop innovative digital communications strategies
• Help manage and update the company's internal communications platform
• Monitor and analyze website analytics to identify areas for improvement
• Provide general support to the digital communications team as needed, including recruitment marketing projects

Requirements

• We are seeking individuals with digital marketing skills, regardless of their educational background. Whether you are currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from a community college program, a bachelor's or master's program in communications, marketing, web development, or a related field, we would like to hear from you!
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in digital content creation and social media management (e.g.,Meta for Business, Canva)
• Solid knowledge of website content management systems (e.g., WordPress)
• Practical experience with website search engine optimization
• Demonstrated familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Hubspot)
• Video editing skills are a huge plus
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
