GENERAL SALES MANAGER
The General Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales and merchandising targets. The General Sales Manager effectively coaches and manages all sales management personnel for the assigned Congo DSD locations. They are responsible for recruiting, interviewing, on-boarding, and training of direct reports. The General Sales Manager will work hard, communicate well, build strong business relationships, and have a positive winning mentality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for the achievement of the annual business plan which includes developing KPIs, key initiatives, and targets to ensure the attainment of volume and profit objectives.
· Review and evaluate the performance against sales and KPI targets, address performance gaps and take corrective action, as needed, to ensure delivery against set targets.
· Create high customer service expectations among team members; monitor results with customers to ensure performance is meeting expectations and take action to correct performance gaps and/or address improvement opportunities.
· Selection and training of team members, as well as ensuring ongoing skills development and coaching is provided to improve job performance and enable individuals to improve their advancement potential within the organization.
· Conduct performance appraisals and coach direct reports to enhance individual and team performance which includes the development of individual and team performance improvement goals.
· Motivates and inspires organization to be successful via professional trainings, positive and constructive feedback, building professional mentor relationships, and leading by example.
· Work collaboratively across the organization and share best practices. Act as a major contributor/leader among peer group.
· Building relationships - Meeting with potential customers and helping the team build relationships.
· Creating a sales plan to expand the customer base and ensure a strong company presence in new and existing customers.
· Tracking sales performance analytics and monitoring customer preferences.
· Identify knowledge gaps within the team and create development plans for filling them.
Required Skills and Experience:
- A candidate must be 21 years of age or meet the minimum state legal age requirements.
- Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license
- Must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of management experience in the beverage industry
- Proven track record of being able to motivate and build a successful sales team and with initiatives that build and create strong trade partnerships
- Key account management experience
- Strong leadership skills to provide mentoring, training or corrective feedback
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including being able to prepare presentation materials and present the information one-on-one and in a group
- Strong analytical skills - data based decision making
- Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, VIP, and Encompass
