Full Job Description

Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst (Contract or Contract to Hire)

Schedule: 40 hours per week with a project start date before Feb 1st 2025

Location: Hybrid, 3 days per week in office (no set days)

Ideal consultant pay rate is $60 to $70 per hour

**Client has a preference to hire the selected consultant after 90 days

Keys to the job: Prior public accounting experience at Mid to Large sized firm, self starter, can work independently, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide critical financial support within a dynamic and fast-paced organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills to the table, excelling in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. This role requires someone who can foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to drive financial insights and decision-making. Key responsibilities include leading financial reviews, managing forecasts, and supporting the month-end close process.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate independently with cross-functional business partners to provide financial insights and support.

• Develop detailed financial forecasts using historical trends and current business data.

• Monitor spending against budget and highlight material variances through detailed reporting and analysis.

• Prepare and distribute financial performance reports, including metric packages and variance analysis.

• Present findings and recommendations to management, providing insights on trends and variances.

• Conduct financial analysis and propose alternative solutions using financial tools and creative problem-solving approaches.

• Prepare journal entries and assist in month-end close processes to ensure accurate accounting.

• Drive the development of sound financial processes and maintain a robust control environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or accounting.

• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

• Proven ability to analyze financial data, communicate effectively, and prioritize tasks.

• Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or CPA certification is a plus.

• Experience with Hyperion (Oracle) and SAP is highly desirable.
