Full Job Description
Our partner is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team in Plymouth, MN. The technician will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting installations and repairs of powder coating systems throughout North America.
Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety in all activities, adhering to industry protocols.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic tasks, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Safely operate vehicles and equipment.
- Conduct diagnostic troubleshooting remotely or on-site for existing equipment.
- Install powder coating systems according to installation documentation.
- Assist with lab trials, industry trainings, and general housekeeping.
- Produce detailed service reports and maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Collaborate with the team, including sales managers and technical staff.
- Comprehend customer requirements and provide appropriate recommendations.
- Support the sales team as a subject matter expert.
- Follow company procedures and protocols diligently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma and 2-year technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of progressive experience, preferably in the industrial application and finishing industry.
- Valid driver's license and passport for travel within North America.
- Proven field service experience and professional appearance.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service electro pneumatic equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic schematics.
- Flexibility to work flexible shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Familiarity with standard hand tools and industrial process automation/PLC systems.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with SharePoint platform and AutoCAD is a plus.
- Ability to effectively communicate in person, over the phone, and digitally.
- Comfortable presenting to small groups.
