Edges Wellness (a subsidiary of Accord) is an emerging collective of practitioners striving to serve our communities' mental health and wellbeing through integrative approaches. We specialize in serving the LGBTQ+ community, including disabled people, Indigenous, Immigrant and People of Color.
As the Executive Director, you are responsible for providing overall organizational leadership, planning and implementing the strategic goals and objectives of Edges Wellness Center. You will give direction through the overall development and efficient operation of services. You will also provide leadership and direction for the business operations to ensure the delivery of quality services, high client satisfaction, financial stewardship and development of services according to the strategic goals of Edges. You are the steward of the brand and understand your role in growing and protecting the reputation of Edges Wellness Center; building trust in the organization and its relevance in the community.
The position supervises the Director of Clinical Therapy, as well as any administrative positions.
Strengthening Infrastructure and Operations:
- Ensure the delivery of high quality services while managing for current and future growth.
- Oversee the financial management and resource allocation of the organization, including long and short range financial planning to assure sustainability; increase revenue from public and private sources.
- Creation of annual, 3- and 10-year budgets; ongoing monitoring of expenditures and revenues.
- Identify, research, develop, and implement opportunities for future growth.
- Responsible for ensuring regulatory oversight and compliance are in place and followed by all.
- Support and motivate the staff; facilitate collaboration and strengthen internal communications with staff and independent contractors throughout the organization.
- Create and promote a diverse workforce and a positive environment that supports consistency throughout the organization’s operations.
- Implementation of EOS throughout the organization.
Organizational Development:
- Serve as or delegate the role of spokesperson for the organization through media releases, conference presentations, town hall meetings, seminars and conferences and other opportunities for communicating the activities, goals, and successes of Edges Wellness Center.
- Increase and encourage employee opportunities for development and advancement.
- Promote awareness for equitable healthcare coverage in order to build a more educated and informed public.
Program Development:
- Assure well-planned and timely delivery of programs through new and existing staff, independent contractors and external partnerships.
- Develop and implement standardized policies, procedures, and plans to provide consistent guidance to staff.
- Effectively communicate annual and long-range organizational goals throughout the organization to enhance engagement and attain quality results.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall professional experience within the mental health field, including 6+ years of management in a leadership position required.
- MA/MS/MBA/MPA or related advanced degree is required.
- Must have knowledge of and competence in working with the LGBTQIA2S+ community.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the insurance and healthcare industry, including various Human Services entities at local and state levels.
- Demonstrated fiscal management expertise (forecasting, budgeting, analysis).
- Strong commitment to the professional development of staff; successful track record of recruiting and retaining a diverse workforce.
- Ability to set clear priorities, delegate, and guide investment in people and systems; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills, which support and enable sound decision making.
- Excellent coalition building skills with an ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; a persuasive negotiator able to achieve consensus amongst differing opinions.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
