Full Job Description
Wireless Technicians perform installation, provisioning, maintenance, troubleshooting/fault isolation, and restoration activities of essential telecommunication systems, including personal wireless communications, public safety communications, utility networks, and broadcasting.
- Ability to read and execute construction documents with accuracy
- Install and decommission communications equipment and associated hardware, coax, hybrid trunks, weatherproofing, and color coding
- Perform equipment and network troubleshooting
- Capture construction reporting documentation, take site progress photos, and execute the VQA/VSS process
- Climbing of tower structure(s) such as self-support towers, guyed towers, monopoles, water towers, and rooftops to complete job tasks, as needed
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Loading and unloading of site material and equipment from truck and trailer at shop and on the job site
- Cleaning and organizing of truck and trailer and the restocking of material
- Inspection of PPE, PFAs and job site equipment
- Contribution to Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) to control or eliminate potential hazards
- Continued education, training and certifications as related to the work
Requirements
- 18 Years of Age
- Current Driver’s License (Chauffeurs)
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs and frequently lift and/move up to 25 pounds
- Experience driving a truck and trailer – preferred
- Previous wireless communication equipment installation experience – preferred
