Full Job Description
Seasoned Recruitment is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker with a focus on Adult Behavioral Health to join our team. As a Social Worker in this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of adults facing behavioral health challenges. This position requires a deep understanding of adult behavioral health treatment and support.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments of individuals with behavioral health concerns, developing treatment plans, providing counseling and therapy, and coordinating care with other members of the healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations and a strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in adult behavioral health.
- Complete clinical records and agency documentation promptly and consistent with policies and procedures of the Guidance Center.
- Follow a professional code of ethics.
- Coordinate effective discharge planning before case closure
- Complete 24 hours of training in the treatment of adults with mental health and/or co-occurring substance abuse disorders.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work (BSW/MSW) from an accredited program.Must have a minimum of a master’s degree in social work, Psychology, or Counseling and possess the corresponding State of Michigan licensure
- Candidates without a state license can be considered but must obtain state licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC or LLP) within a 60-day training period beginning on the date of hire. This period may be extended by up to an additional 60 days of training at the sole discretion of the employer. Failure to obtain licensure within the training period will result in the employee being unqualified to perform work functions. Beyond the training period, all state licensure must continually remain active, in effect, and free from disciplinary action.
- Candidates must obtain the Qualified Mental Health Professional credential within 120 days of hire.
Experience: Previous experience in social work or a related field, preferably with adult behavioral health populations.
- Must have one year of experience (may include time spent in fieldwork or internship) treating or working with people diagnosed with mental illness.
- Skills:
- Familiarity with evidence-based practices in adult behavioral health
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience conducting assessments and developing treatment plans.
- Ability to provide individual and group counseling or therapy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
