Overview: As the Shop Foreman, you will play a crucial role in maximizing productivity, efficiency, and safety within our manufacturing facility. You'll lead a team of skilled personnel, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the company's growth and competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Supervision:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of shop personnel to optimize productivity and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Operational Excellence:
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager to enhance production efficiency, process improvement, and on-time delivery.
- Maintain a daily whiteboard with clear job assignments and priorities, ensuring all employees are informed and prepared for their tasks.
- Technical Support and Training:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to machinists and production staff on programming, tool selection, and equipment setup.
- Actively engage on the shop floor, assisting with troubleshooting and ensuring efficient use of equipment.
- Resource Management:
- Manage inventory of shop equipment, tooling, and materials to support safe and efficient operations.
- Coordinate with the management team to plan and execute production schedules that meet customer delivery requirements.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of programming, routing, tooling, and setup processes.
- Report on job progress and production metrics in weekly meetings, contributing to on-time project delivery.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead 5S and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace organization, efficiency, and safety.
- Compliance and Communication:
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, escalating issues as needed to senior management.
- Participate in employee discipline and performance reviews to uphold team
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of machining processes and equipment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Benefits
Pay is negotiable but starts at $30. It goes up from there depending on experience.
