We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and experienced Restaurant Front of House Supervisor to join our growing team. In this position, the Restaurant Supervisor will play a key role in managing all aspects of our restaurant's front of house business. The Restaurant Supervisor will be expected to deliver a high-quality experience to our guests and motivate our front of house staff to ensure excellent customer service. Exceptional management skills and a strong understanding of customer service are a must.
The Restaurant Supervisor assists the Restaurant General Manager in the management of the restaurant to brand standards in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures. The Restaurant Supervisor manages operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge while promoting the culture and values of Anna's House. The Restaurant Supervisor also trains and develops Team Members to meet performance standards and shares responsibilities for the achievement of designated guest, profit, and sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Support GM and leadership team by supervising front of house day-to-day restaurant operations and support the heart of the house staff
- Ensure customer satisfaction through promoting excellent service; respond to customer complaints tactfully and professionally
- Maintain quality control for all food served
- Coordinate communication between front of the house and heart of the house staff
- Monitor compliance with safety and hygiene regulations to ensure the restaurant exceeds standards in food quality, safety, and cleanliness
- Prepare shift schedules
- Project future staffing needs and coordinate with General Manager accordingly
- Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist General Manager by providing coaching and feedback to staff and assess performance on an ongoing basis
- Support new employees’ proper onboarding (scheduling, trainings, and ordering uniforms)
- Gather guests’ feedback and recommend improvements to our menus and service
- Perform duties of host, expo/food runner, busser, and takeout/deli server as directed by leadership
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Education
- High school diploma required; additional certification in hospitality is a plus
Experience
- Experience as a Restaurant supervisor, manager, or similar role in the hospitality industry
- Experience in front of the house and/or heart (back) of the house roles
- Familiarity with restaurant management software preferred
Skills
- Able to lead and manage a team in a fast-paced environment
- Able to follow directions and delegate duties as needed
- Good math and reporting skills
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
Working Environment
- Ability to stand exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, and lift frequently
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs
- Available to work in shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and/or mid afternoon. Weekend availability required.
