Full Job Description

New Oakland Family Centers provides comprehensive behavioral health and substance abuse services for consumers across Michigan, in both outpatient and partial hospitalization settings.

Location: Wayne and Washtenaw County locations (Southgate, Livonia and Ann Arbor)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Reports To: Director of Nursing

Compensation: Salary Employee. Commensurate with experience.

Position Summary: The Regional Nursing Supervisor provides oversight of nursing care and supervision of nursing staff in conjunction with the Director of Nursing. This position will require working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide the highest quality of care to all clients.

Essential Duties / Functions:

  • Uphold the NOFC mission and culture and adhere to NOFC policy and procedures
  • Demonstrate ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with staff and clients
  • Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff within assigned region
  • Present confidence in identifying and implementing best nursing practices
  • Manage nursing schedule and coverage for assigned regional sites – on site or remotely
  • Assist as directed with hiring and training process of nursing staff
  • Demonstrate ability to be self-motivated and seek opportunities to improve nursing team functions—including regular travel to all sites within region to provide support and teaching opportunities
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with directors, supervisors, and staff at all times
  • Assist to maintain stock of medical supplies and equipment for assigned sites
  • Share coverage support for nursing/medical issues outside of regular business hours—including weekday evenings and weekend coverage as needed
  • Work with site supervisors to address safety and environmental issues
  • Complete documentation as required by the clinic’s policies/procedures
  • Fulfill all initial and ongoing training requirements
  • Attend designated leadership meetings as required
  • Monitor emails and respond promptly and professionally
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions: Active office environment with direct client interactions, including potentially escalating clients. Computer and phone equipment usage daily. May encounter frequent interruptionsNavy blue scrubs required per Employee Handbook.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and RN Licensure required; 3 years of clinical experience as a site nurse at NOFC preferred. Must be able to work well with all types of people including children, adolescents, and adults. Must be CPR, First Aid and CPI certified.
