Recreation Manager

Howell Recreation is a thriving organization in the field of recreational activities, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle in the community. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Recreation Manager. As the Recreation Manager, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing diverse recreational programs that cater to individuals of all ages and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee a variety of recreational programs and activities, ensuring they are engaging and tailored to meet the needs of different demographics
• Collaborate with community stakeholders to identify and address the recreational needs of the local population
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of recreational staff members, providing guidance and support as necessary
• Develop and manage the department budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation for program delivery
• Promote and publicize recreational programs through various marketing channels to maximize participation
• Maintain and manage recreational facilities, ensuring they are safe, clean, and well-maintained at all times
• Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of recreational programs through participant feedback and data analysis, making improvements as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Sports Management, or a related field
• Proven experience in developing and implementing recreational programs
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with staff, participants, and community members
• Knowledge of industry best practices and safety guidelines
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritizing work accordingly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
