Production Machine Operator - Day Shift

Rassey Industries, a leading multiple process machining supplier in the transportation industry, is seeking a Production Machine Operator to join our team on the Day shift. In this role, you will work in our modern facility located in Shelby Township, Michigan USA, and be responsible for operating a saw in the production of precision machined components for the automotive, truck, and bus industries. As a member of our team, you will benefit from our state-of-the-art CNC technology, which allows us to produce both in low and high volumes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate saws to cut materials to the required specifications
• Perform preventative maintenance on saws and other equipment
• Verify dimensions of parts to ensure compliance with specifications using precision measuring instruments
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Complete production and quality paperwork as required
• Work with team members to ensure customer deadlines are met
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year experience operating saws in a production environment
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings - not necessary but helpful.
• Basic computer skills and experience using precision measuring instruments
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and grow within the company
• Hours from 5:30pm - 4am
• Pay range 17.00 - 19.00 per hour
